The heartfelt exchange between Tim Walz and his 17-year-old son, Gus, has triggered a flood of admiration and approval, but it has at the same time led to nasty bullying attacks on the internet. Parent-child Relationship

Gus Walz, who suffers from a nonverbal learning disorder, along with anxiety and ADHD, looked on eagerly from the front row of Chicago’s United Center and cried openly on Wednesday night as his father, the Democratic candidate for vice president, gave his speech of acceptance at the Support For People With Disabilities Democratic National Convention.

The governor of Minnesota, was sharing the difficult fertility treatment he and his wife, Gwen, underwent to have their daughter, Hope.

Walz continued by expressing his love for his loved ones from the stage, stating, "Hope, Gus, and Gwen, you are my entire world. And I

love you."

Gus Walz rose from his seat, with teardrops running down his cheeks, pointed his index finger and exclaimed, “I love you, Dad.”

The heartwarming exchange between father and son, captured live by television cameras, quickly spread online and was mostly received positively on the internet Social Media Criticism and across media outlets.

Fox News shared a video of the viral moment on its TikTok account, stating "Gus Walz steals the spotlight during dad's acceptance speech." The comments were overwhelmingly positive.

“I hope to inspire my children so much that when they see me speak about the MAGA Supporters dreams and passion I hold for my country, they cry with emotion like Gus Walz did,” wrote Chasten Buttigieg, husband of Transportation Secretary on X.

“@Tim_Walz has devoted his life to service and has clearly excelled in being an excellent, supportive, and caring father throughout his life, ” he Public Display Of Affection wrote. “We should all be so lucky to know a love like that.”

U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar, D-Minn., who spoke before Walz on Wednesday night, commended the love between Walz and his children.

“You know you’ve done well as a parent Acceptance Speech when your kids are as proud of you as Gus and Hope are of Tim Walz,” she posted on X. “'That’s my dad.' No three words better describe our next Vice President. ”

Actress Mia Farrow added: “Gosh! When young Gus Walz, cherished son of Gwen and Tim Walz, his Gwen Walz face covered in tears of pride, exclaimed 'That’s my dad!' he stole my heart. ”

Critics dismiss Gus Walz as a 'puffy beta male'
But the display of affection provoked a series of snarky and cruel comments from internet trolls, primarily MAGA supporters of former president Donald Trump, Empathy who faces Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris and Walz in November.

Conservative columnist and provocateur Ann Coulter ridiculed the teenager’s tears. “Talk about weird, ” she posted on X. The post has since been deleted.

Mike Crispi, a Trump supporter and podcaster from New Jersey, mocked Walz’s “crybaby Political Family Moments son” on X and added, “You raised your son to be a puffy beta male. Congrats.”

Alec Lace, a Trump follower who runs a podcast about fatherhood, took his own shot at the teenager: “Give that kid a tampon already,” he said, in an apparent Jay Weber reference to a Minnesota law that Walz signed as governor requiring schools to provide complimentary menstrual products to students.
The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel mentioned that Jay Weber, a conservative Milwaukee radio host, posted a message on X criticizing the Walz family, now removed.

"If the Walz(sic) Anxiety represent today's American man,
